Dimensions for trailer to carry RTV900?

To ensure that the trailer that I must purchase to get my sailboat
moved is as useful as possible, what are the required dims for the
RTV900?

Doug,

The smallest is 5x10' and it'll use all of it. The RTV is 59.8" wide and 119.3" long. That gives less than an inch around. I don't recall if those people were using ramps instead of the lift gate since the lift gate might hit the box. I would do thorough measurements on RTV and trailer before picking this size. If you changed things like tires, it may no longer fit.

I like (and prefer) a 6x12'. It gives me a little room around all sides which makes it easier for loading, tieing down and adjusting length for tongue weight.

What size trailer were you considering?

20' x 6' 7000# ought'a do, don't ya think? The boat is 24' x 8' x ~7' high @ 3000#

Once it is delivered then the boat and its cradle will sit in a
boatyard while the lake is frozen and the trailer will be a resource -
perhaps for hauling the RTV to/from the dealer 125 miles away.

But the way the costs are adding up, it's likely that I'll just pay a shipper. And then worry about transporting the RTV

Personally, I doubt I could live without having trailers...

Why do you need to take your RTV to the dealer? So far, I've found all maintenence exceptionally easy to do with no special tools. Is there a dealer closer?

The nearest dealer by the Kubota website's finder is 125 miles away.

My apprehension is that they're following the VWoA business model -
build a quality product but depend on American parts-changers. My
only anticipated defense against VWoA's warranty problems is by paying
their outrageous maintenance costs. E. g., I was traveling in PA,
Oxford, when the battery crapped out. I was glad that the
"technician" was too lazy to chuck the whole battery box in the garbage
because there was at least enough for ME to restore its function.
Every loose part was gone. Every screw was stripped. I was
furious and 600 miles from home.

With all due respect; trust and verify. I will do what basic
maintenance I can but hate being captive to an unresponsive business
model - like VWoA.

Does the 125 mile issue apply to your SC or WI address? I found 3 dealers closer than 100 miles using Kubota's "Dealer Finder" section of their website.

I just sent you an e-mail.

Yes, thank you for the kind and reassuring note.

125 miles from Washington Island to IIRC Lena, WI. I won't buy the RTV until we're there.

We're paring 'stuff' down to the minimum. As you may imagine,
lifestyle stuff here is hardly useful or appropriate there. The
sail boat will be the first sail-powered recreational fiishing vessel
on the lake in a long time - or that's my excuse for dragging it along.
