Air Cleaner Problem

While I was re-fueling I noticed that my air cleaner cap was falling off. One of the spring type retainer clipsthat holds the cap on was missing. Fortunately, the element was still in place.

When I bought a replacement clip theparts mantold me that they had sold several of them. That kind of indicates a problem to me. I'm going to find a convenient way to make sure mine don't fall off again. And, I ordered a spare...

Anyhow, it's probably worth a peek to see if yours is in place.

That seems to be a problem on many of those canister type filters. One of the companies we work with actually zip ties the clips shut to hold the whole thing together. That may not bebad idea on an RTV since the cap is in an exposed place.

I went ahead and cable tied mine. It's not handy but at least the cap won't fall off. Kubota needs to work on this issue before someone sucks something other than air through the intake. I bet they wouldn't warranty the issue.
