Best self-cleaning tire for RTV?

I decided to rent an RTV for the weekend to make sure it could handle
the things I need to do. Brought it home last night and in the half
hour of daylight left I was impressed overall, except for the ATV style
tires. As I passed thru a muddy section they immediately loaded up and
turned to slicks. Only the fact that I was in 4WD and going downhill
fairly fast kept me from getting stuck. Of course the turf and worksite
tires would have been even worse!

There are some decent mud tires out there, but they are tall and narrow
with aggressive lugs designed to cut down and catch on rocks, roots,
etc. With the weight of the RTV those would quickly destroy my meadow.
I'm looking for a fairly wide tire (at least as wide as OE) with a
tread pattern that can shed that mixture of mud and clay we Vermonters
call soil. It also needs to handle the weight of the RTV and a load of
firewood. Any suggestions?

TIA, Pete

I have the atv tires on mine. while they do load up with smeary clay
they get around fairly well . most of the bighorn and other styles will
definately tear up sod and other crops. I run mine on some very
steep hills with a minimum of slippage. you will get used to usng
the diff. lock pedal for sure. so far I have only stuck mine once, but I
am careful since I don't have a winch yet. bill

I (and many others) are very impressed with the Maxxis Bighorn's.

They don't tear up the terrain/yard like the more aggressive lug tires (e.ge. ITP 589's) but... they will leave an impression. To switch it to tractor tires, the Bighorn's are like R4 tires, the 589's are like R1's.

Personally, I try to schedule my firewood harvesting and chores that require me to ride through areas that are prone to damage from driving to days where the ground is not so soft/wet.
