Outdoor Sports Stuff

Anyone here like to hunt or fish? If ya do, when do YOU feel is the most enjoyable or best time for the hunting/fishing that you do?
Do you travel far for doing it? I love fishing but just cant do it around where I live in the Chicago area. That aint fishing! I have to go far north into northern MN to really enjoy it.

The wife and I fish a great deal. I like to be on the water at daylight and we usually leave when the ski boats and jet skis start showing up. It's usually getting hot by then anyway. We catch lots of channel catfish, last Sunday we had 16 with 5 of those between 6 and 8 lbs. That's how we spend our time in the summer, on the boat-fishing. The limit in Kansas is 10 per person.

Those are damn big fish! And a lot too! What do you use for bait? Do you let it sit on the bottom or do you use a bobber?
