9550 drive line issue

I just started shelling corn on what I would call average hills. I have noticed with a full hopper in 1st and 2nd with or without 4 wheel drive with hydo full speed I get a clunking feeling , like something is slipping under the load. it happens even going downhill. any thoughts????????? Thanks

I would suspect something in one of the final drives. Is this a sidehill model? Check the final drive housings carefully for any sign of cracks or oil leaks. Sometimes a cracked housing can flex under load and cause the gear to slip.

No its not a sidehill model could it be a coupler between the hydro and transmission ?

That is possible, but when they fail, usually it loses all drive pretty much all at once.

Thanks jd110 as of right now I see no cracks and I'm back to flat ground and have had no issues hope it stays together and I will have to dig deeper after harvest.
