John Deere 4320 Load and Depth settings

I am about to change my loada&dept shaft on my JD 4320 but I cannot remember what the control handle in the cab must be set to before the shaft is removed from the transmission case. It has been many years since I have had to do this. Can anyone help with an answer?

Welcome to the forum! Be sure to lower the arms all the way and leave the control lever in the forward position. That is most important. Then put the load and depth control in the depth or "D" position. That should allow easiest removal and installation of the shaft.
