Over tire tracks?????

Im not even sure what to call them. Im trying to find a set of tracks that go over rubber tires, kind of like chains but with ridgid cross pieces. I have seen them a lot on older 2WD tractors. A real name or a brand name would help my search efforts a lot.
Thanks much!

I've never seen them wildcard. But I have seen 2wd's that keep chains on all the time. Would chains work for your application?

I have chains. What Im looking for is extra flotation. It's pretty boggy in spots around here and I don't want to screw with duals.

You mean like to turn your tractor into a half track sort of thing?

I'd reckon you are going to be doing a whole load less screwing if you go with duals rather than tracks.

The same company makes a "half track" version of them but the ones I want are strictly around the tire. I'll be home in another week and can post a pic then if I haven't found what im looking for.

Arps used to build a half-track arrangement by adding another axle and wheels under the middle of the tractor and putting tracks like skid-steer add-on tracks on it. The pictures I saw were an 8N or NAA Ford with it. The company still exists as Ameriquip, but I don't think they make it any more. The only thing I know of that is current is this - http://www.mattracks.com/html/track-tor-assist.htm.

You might also contact one of the skid-steer track manufacturers to see if they have something that might work, such as http://www.loegering.com/tracksystems/.

Good luck in your search.

I went to Amerequips web site. Someone should be fired for setting that up, it has nothing!. The half track set up except without the belly axle is what Im looking for.
Maybe I can find some old ones and refurb them....
