Model M tractor

I have recently inherited a Model M tractor from my grandfather. It has not been started in the 28 years of my existence. From what I know it was just parked and never started again. My dad remembers something about it having a slight engine nock.Just looking for some assistance here on where to start on getting this girl up and running again. What type of electrical system does it have? Where can I get a service manual for this machine. Thanks.

the m org. had a 6 volt electrical system,,i converted my M to a 12 volt system,, as for as a service manual,,i have 1 some where,,i have not needed manual in long time,my M never gives me troubles,,,,if and when i find,,i can make u a copy and send u,,,my M is a 1950 model,,,but i am pretty sure all M is same from 1947 to 1950 except fot hyd,system,

That would be very much apreciated, I believe mine is a 47.
