801 Ford PowerMaster Help

My dad has a 1957 801 Ford PowerMaster that has been giving him a lot of problems lately. It starts just fine, and will run fine without anything attached to it. However, if he is running it under a load (pulling a brush hog, for example), roughly 15-20 minutes - and sometimes up to 30 minutes - into it, it starts to miss really badly. He then has to stop and let it cool down before he can continue. He knows it is not overheating. It has a new radiator, water pump and thermostat. Does anyone have any ideas for what the problem might be?

One thing to check: sometimes a replacement gas cap fits too tight, and no air can get in to replace the fuel consumed. This can cause the symptom you described.
