clearing ice on top of snow

First part of the week we had 6" of snow on the ground and then sleet and freezing rain on top of that. The rain formed a coat of ice over everything.

Heard my neighbors tractor coming up his road the other day just after the ice storm. He was pulling a drag harrow up the road. The teeth were breaking up the ice and he was using a myers blade on the front on the return trips to push the busted up ice and snow off the road.

Why didn't I think of that :pat:

I've got a 4 footer we use to scatter the horse poop in the pasture and it's just setting there in the way until spring.

I did our drive using the back blade and had pure h e double hockey sticks busting through the ice.

Let me know how that works for you, Jim. My driveway always becomes a sheet of ice/hardpack and I don't like salting.
