Injector pump leak 1830 tractor john deere

how to fix a leaky 1830 john deere tractor injector pump . leaking on both the shut off post throttle post. do i replace? is there anything i should know before so i dont break more stuff ?

I think you have a Roosamaster pump? If so, there is an oring seal on each shaft. Just remove the allen headed screw and remove the lever. Use a pick to remove oring. Install new oring and reinstall lever in same position. Be sure to mark it somehow so it goes back in same spot.
