I have bought a few things over the years from Sears with warranties, and they have always honored theri repairs on things with me from vacumes to saws to pressure washers, but I was dissapointed when I bought a spiffy new fridge (kind of a wedding present) that had a water dispenser/ice maker. The salesman told me that the filter was included in the annual maintenace plan (it wasn't) and I had to call them to schedule the maintenence, no reminders or anything like that (and I can use a reminder now and again). But when the 3 year plan was about to expire, that is when the phone began to ring. They called me bassiclly every day for a period of weeks to want me to extend the plan. Same goes for the other tools. Only when the plan is about to expire do I hear from them.

Paul, those Puma snowblowers look like their pretty well built and can do some serious snow removal.
I've had pretty good luck with Sears, especially with my 4-1/2" grinders.
