Was on my way into town and the State was cleaning out the road ditch less than a mile from me.
Stopped and told them I had a place to dump the dirt if they needed one.
They delivered me 3 truck loads.Didn't cost me a cent .Thats a lot less than the 135 bucks i gave a guy to haul me 3 truck loads last summer.
Nothing like free dirt when you have a tractor !

How lucky can a guy get? I don't have a FEL and would have to borrow a blade to spread it but I sure wouldn't mind getting your kind of break!..

Just goes to show you that if you don't ask- you don't get!

Dirt's on our list of to-do's this year and I'm not looking forward to the expense.. Congrats.

Fine I suppose if you are just going to use it for fill material but in lb59's case being from a state that uses tons of calcium chloride as a road De-icer I wouldn't try to use it anywhere you plan on growing grass or veggies!! Free usually means there are bigger hidden costs!
