Vacation time, what are your plans

That is a beautiful trip. When I was a young buck in the Canadian Coast Guard, I spent a few years on one of our ice breaker and supply ships. Did one summer in the Arctic breaking ice. Left from my home town, Victoria BC. No stops for us though until we got up around Baffin Island and then...

What are you doing with your Tractor this weekend

Well another weekend come and gone and not much done. Lots more digging and dirt moving to do but the weather's been so dry up here that every bucket of dirt just turns into a huge cloud of dust. Weather man keeps promising rain but it hasn't amounted to enough to really wet the ground at all...

Vacation time, what are your plans

Been so long since the wife and I have been away together so we're going to take advantage of a week or so and just drive. All my projects can be put on hold temporarily. Thinking probably down through Washington and then continue south down the coast of Oregon. Been wanting to see the coast...

What are you doing with your Tractor this weekend

Well I actually had very little time on the tractor this weekend. I've got about a dozen or more projects on the go so I pretty much move between them. Went into town and picked up some lumber for the carport i'm putting up, finished an addition onto the front deck, did some weeding in the...

    Huh?

I chain it to a tree but sometimes it still puts up a struggle. And SHVL73. That sounds like great advice but the hot tubs down so I opted for my lounger in the sun, a Percacet:wave: and a wee snifter of Scotchie :alc:on the rocks. Feeling a little better now.:brows:

    Huh?

HooBoy! :pat:Don't know what I did to deserve this but I just get the tractor back up and running yesterday and now I'm out of commission for a while. Pulled something in my shoulder swapping the post hole auger over for the scraper blade. Didn't feel a thing all afternoon then all of a sudden...

    Huh?

Good to see everyone having a good Saturday so far. Yep it's busy but still got time to take a relax every now and then. Got the tractor back up and running last nite so I got to do a little more digging on the side of the house to make sure all the new hydro lines and the rebuilt lift cylinder...

    Huh?

Well from one Frank to another, thanks for that. That was just the kind of post I'm talking about. Probably took about a whole 5 minutes but sumed up your day pretty good and made me chuckle. Now if we could get more of us to just say a few words a day. Got the old Ford 1900 back in action...

    Huh?

Well there ya go. That wasn't so bad was it? Don't have to say much, when you come into the house and have your dinner and sit down with a cup of your favorite beverage (tea is ok too) just check in and say hello. First thing I do at nite when I finally sit and relax. Didn't come in til about...

    Huh?

Yep I hear ya. :pat:This is definitely a busy time of year for most. Not only for farming but for landscaping as well. Up here in the north we do things as the weather permits and right now the weather is great.:letitsnow:(NOT) I'm sure the stories and pics of what everyones's doing will come...

    Metal Detectors are Valuable

I can see how that would be a real bonus to the tool collection, especially if you have a gravel driveway and no pavement to work on. I have a magnetic broom that helps if you drop something close. But 29 bucks?:pat: I couldn't buy a small magnet on a string up here in Canucklehead land for less...

    Pictures of tractors

Ok guys, finally got the woman out with the camera. These are all from a project I'm working on for the wife. For some reason she wants the rock hill beside the house cleaned up of dirt so she can make a big rock garden of sorts. Sorry forgot to resize:sorry: This is looking down from...

    Are Canucks allowed here

I'm in Cedar/Yellowpoint area, just south of Nanaimo. Originally from Victoria, but got tired of the big city life. :tiphat:

    Are Canucks allowed here

Thanks for the welcome guys. Looking forward to some serious forum reading. As for the model, it's actually a Ford 1900. Guess they can be mistaken for a New Holland from a distance. Pretty good work horse so far. Just wish I had a backhoe for it. Can't have everything at once I suppose...
