    Giving it a try

Good to see ya here. I've been out of the loop for a while. Just coming back. Nice to see a familiar "face" from the "other" site.

ATTN BATWING OWNERS: How do you have your hydraulics set up?

I have often entertained the idea of some day getting a batwing. I have 3 sets of rear remotes. My dealer told me I didn't really need that for a batwing but I could basically spool the two wings to be controlled with a single remote. But I kind of like the idea of using a separate lever and...

When you are bored and own a TLB

Whooaaa! That's crazy! I wonder how long it took to learn those tricks? But there were a couple of times the safety police would have an infarction!

    Defected to here!

I've never really had problems myself. That's actually quite remarkable, considering. But I did receive advice from a member who informed me of all these little known shenanigans over there. All I had to hear was how some of these members, who I have great respect for, get black-balled. I...

    Fencline AND Treeline cutter!!

Yeah, maybe I could find some enterprising young NTT member who'd be willing to build one for me!:thumb:

    Heavy-Duty Industrial Box Blade?

Thanks. I do wish they posted their specs, particularly the weight. I find that the best way to determine how heavy duty a unit is. If I could get a 7 footer with hydraulic scarifiers that weighs 1,000# for around a grand I believe I'd have to jump on it like white on rice!:brows:

bush hogging, round and round, or up and down

I just bought 150 gallons of off-road diesel today at $4.46/gal for fear that it would go higher! BTW, I mow clockwise around a field with my pull-type 10' cutter. It gets pretty tough towards the end requiring wide turns with a lot of wasted travel. I may have to try out that Doc method.

    Fencline AND Treeline cutter!!

I really don't think that price is too bad. . . .considering. I really like the vineyard trimming video where it is mounted on the hydraulic arm. That would be really cool to trim under fences, cut down encroaching tree limbs, and such. I could really put that thing to use. I just wish they...

    Heavy-Duty Industrial Box Blade?

Bargain?!?! More like a steal! Yeah, do post a contact number or website. I tried to find them but couldn't.

    Heavy-Duty Industrial Box Blade?

How heavy duty is it? I don't want to get a light-duty 7-footer in the 600 lb. range. The Bush Hog dealer here has their SBX line of Box blades and they LOOK pretty heavy duty but are not really that sturdy. I would fear that if I had one of these lighter-duty models I would fold it in two...

    Heavy-Duty Industrial Box Blade?

Maybe they'd be cheaper if it was made of platinum!!!

    Heavy-Duty Industrial Box Blade?

Had a fax waiting on me at the office this morning for a quote for the Cammond 4C5-84. List is $4,191 but it is on "sale" for $3,500 plus freight!! Oh, well. I'll see what the price of the Landpride is.

    Heavy-Duty Industrial Box Blade?

Just an FYI for those interested. One other box blade I had looked into is the Monroe Tufline TB-series. I was looking at the TB384 at 1138#. I felt the TB484 at 1426# would be pushin' the limit. May be doin' some wheelies! But, once again, it has a hinged rear tailboard!:yuk:
