    First mow of the season

Here in NW PA, we got almost 6 inches of snow and slush over the past 2 days. Today, it was 50 and it is all gone. My yard won't be dry enough to mow until early-middle May due to high clay content. It is time to start cutting wood.

Thank you for your advise. I am now a Kioti owner.

I will be certain to post pictures. I keep looking outside while I ponder which project to start first depending the weather conditions on delivery day. It will be a long night since I will be on midnight shift. My partner will have to drive.

Thank you for your advise. I am now a Kioti owner.

I have been shopping for a tractor for a significant time (4 year plea with wife) and now am awaiting delivery. I thank everyone for their input on this site. I have found a lot of valued information and opinion. The winner of my purchasing power was the Kioti DK35SE HST with loader and a...

HOW DO U DIG A TRENCH OUTSIDE THE WHEEL BASE OF A TRACTOR

Look into a rear blade with tilt and offset. It will get you just past the wheel. If you need to go several feet out, you will have to go with a backhoe.

TYM 353HST - mini review The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

I think the larger chassis will be a safer option for the long term project I have of converting 3 acres of woods into an orchard. I am favoring the TYM tractors because of the weight of their tractors. As in your comparison with your neighbors tractor, it seems that heavier a tractor is, the...

TYM 353HST - mini review The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Thank you Thank you for your detailed input on this tractor. I am looking at buying my first tractor this year. I have considered the T293 HST, but I keep gravitating to the 353. The 293 would do most of the things I need to do. I think it will be worth the upgrade because the one thing...

    Root Ripper Bucket

I spoke to a good friend at church who has a construction company and a 40hp New Holland. It turns out that he has a bucket very similar to the one I posted. He said that he uses it to rip out stumps and uncut trees and it works fine. He likes it because he doesn't have to dig as big of a...

    Root Ripper Bucket

No problem. I would love to get a backhoe with the tractor. I am looking at all options. I like the idea of just cutting all trees down and after clearing wood and brush, having a dozer come in for a day and level it all off.

    Root Ripper Bucket

All of the trees I will be dropping are either mostly white oak and some red oak. I am looking at 30-50 trees. The problem with buying a backhoe is that once that job and replacing a drain pipe under the drive are complete. I will have little use for the backhoe, unless I start working for...

    Root Ripper Bucket

The bucket is around $500. I plan on planting apple trees about 25' apart to maximize sun exposure.

    Root Ripper Bucket

Has anyone used one of these buckets for stump removal using a loader with skid steer quick attach mounts? I watched a video of this being used on a skid steer, but am wondering if it would be practicle on a loader. The skid steer in the demo video on youtube seemed small in size and seemed to...
