Hi Peanut: I for got to mention that to make new automotive pads fit in a Ranger you have to modify the whole carriage with longer bolts and longer sleeves etc. To make the welded used pads fit I just had to add a couple washers. It's in the video. Mars

How To Lift Really Heavy Stuff with Your 3PH iMatch

It has been pointed out to me that looping the chain across the two lower imatch hooks could cause the lower part of the imatch to draw together. To prevent this hook the ends of the chain to the lower hooks and cinch the chain up in the middle at the top. Mars

The Mars1952 Polaris Ranger Five Cent Ebrake Fix

Hi Peanut: I did take them to a several local stores. None of them could help since you need a part number to find anything in a parts store now days. They did pull out a few pads but it was a hopeless cause. Anyway the problem with using new pads is that they are too thick, almost twice as...

How To Lift Really Heavy Stuff with Your 3PH iMatch

I stumbled onto this idea one day when I had a bunch of very large rocks to move. I moved most of them with my FEL but I could barely get them off the ground. Some of them were too heavy to lift with the FEL. I remembered that the 3PH was much stronger than the FEL. I stared at the iMatch hooked...

Semi-Metallic Emergency Brake Pads for the Polaris Ranger

Hi Folks: As you might know The Polaris Rangers had very weak and short lived emergency brakes before 2008. The emergency brakes are so weak that you can not always tell when they are on. So sometimes you inadvertently take off with the e-brake on. My e-brake wore out after about 50 hours and I...

John Deere 420 loader quick hitch pin boss rebuild

Hello Again: The quick hitch on my John Deere FEL was almost worn out. The lower pin holes had walled out to the point that it was difficult to change attachments without getting off the tractor. I repaired the pin holes by cutting the holes large enough to accept a pin boss made from DOM tubing...

    Upgrading John Deere Loader Cylinders

Hi Folks: I just finished upgrading the hydraulic cylinders on my JD 420 Loader. The tractor only has 1400 hours on it but I was having trouble with the loader leaking down. It would leak down about 10 inches in one hour. The real impetus for the upgrade was that I broke one of the bucket...
