    Screw in Studs

Update, they seemed to work good enough. There is still a little slipping of the front wheels when moving large loads but in general I don't think I'll have to chain up for most snow storms. Even when the front wheels are slipping they aren't chewing up the asphalt like the chains did.

    Screw in Studs

They seem to get cheaper every year. We had a really light snow season last year so I can't say I got to really test them out. The long term forecast says this may be a bad winter so maybe I'll get to test them out. Of course, if all it takes is sticking more studs in my tires to keep the...

    A Farmer and his tractor

Bubba is passing by Daryl's barn one day, when through a gap in the door he sees him doing a slow and sensual striptease in front of an old green John Deere. Butt clenched, he performs a slow pirouette and gently slides off first the right boot, followed by the left. He then hunches his...

    Mahindra now selling implements

I think when shopping for tractors you need to look at the dealers as much as you look at the tractors. My dealer has been great via email. I found him originally because he was the only guy with a Jinma on his lot and I wanted to look at them. He ended up up-selling me to a Mahindra 2615 and...

    ML106 bucket capacity

I used red loctite on my 2615 loader bolts around 300 hours ago and it hasn't loosened up yet(knock on wood). They were loose then - real loose. Make sure you clean the bolts and holes really well and buy a new tube of loctite if yours is older than a year.

    Throttle is Sticky

I cleaned and re-lubed all my linkages this year and it made a huge difference. I recommend cleaning everything with a good degreaser and then giving it a good lube with your preferred lubricants.

Froze up 12 v Fimco pump

I didn't winterize mine a few years ago and it cracked some plastic part. Damn part cost something like $25 to replace. Live and learn. :(

    Welders ?

Almost three years later and still no shop for me. Actually, I've kind of given up on the shop. I need another building to maintain like I need a hole in my head. ;) I've done a fair bit with my Miller. I think all of the trailer mods were done, I built a sub-frame for my Snow-Plow on my...

    High Wheeled string trimmer

I bought a used DR version on CL two years ago. I don't use it that often but it is pretty darn handy when I do use it.

    5500 dodge build

Nice rig rd! I always fill up before heading across the border but if you are doing a lot of driving you eventually have to pay those extra gas taxes. :(

    Do you fertilize your lawn?

I fertilize once in the Spring and Once in the fall. I try to buy something with Iron 'cause I like the deep green - otherwise I buy what is on sale. I dethatch and aerate but recently trashed my aerator and need to buy a new one. I also try to lime in the spring and the fall too. I've tried...

    Now I know...

Wow - 17 years for Great Pyr is very good. I lost my friend of 14 years last year and I still miss him. Sorry to hear about your loss. I know it hurts.

For those that purchase a mower since '94

Another thing to consider is gas quality. Ethanol gas is not only destroying the engines but we are losing a lot of power with Ethanol.
