I hope its not too late. The fill is at the bottom of the steering shaft. If you look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1dn6B3Tzf0 you will see me rebuilding that very model steering box.

Thanks Doc, I really appreciate it. Now you have me wondering if the 450 has enough antifreeze in it for a deep freeze. I never thought about it either until I saw this post. Luckily it is only going to be 28 or so for a few hours so I will be good for tonight. I guess I know what I will be...
They are only $19.95 in stores only at Tractor Supply until I think the 21st (The page doesn't give the date it ends but I think I remember the 21st). Can't beat that with a stick. http://www.tractorsupply.com/campbell-hausfeld-reg-air-operated-grease-gun-3301544
Today I re-installed the generator and battery and replaced the regulator on my 450 to no avail (see previous post). Replaced the cartridge oil filter with an adapter so I can use spin on filters instead. Changed the oil, changed the air filter bath oil and cleaned the mesh filter. Greased all...
The last time I was at my property the battery on the 450 was dead. I removed the generator and battery and had both tested. Both tested fine. Today I purchased a new regulator and installed it but it is still not showing that it is charging the battery (ammeter not moving from 0). my neighbor...
Found out year of 450
I think I have found the year and month that my tractor was manufactured. The tires have 1991 and a month that I don't remember on them and under the seat it is stamped in the metal 3-1991.
No, I do not. I was told mine was a 97 but Bill @Bill's Tractor just laughed when I said that. I have since found out that according to the date on the tires, it is a 91 or so.
I am certainly familiar with a grey market tractor having had access to a Kubota L1500 before purchasing this one. But I know for sure that this model was sold in the US brand new as I have brochures for both the 450 and 350 models and a letter from the importer offering it for sale to a dealer...
Hello, I am a new member who acquired a Mahindra 450 with FEL in August 2012. I am happy with it so far.
Why is it that the 450 is not listed on many parts supply sites? Bill's Tractor Supply is one of the few that does list it.
Thanks,
