I'm up by Paducah, KY and I have two 1140 cpx's that have non-working transmissions and none of the three dealers around here have an interest in working on them. Would this Kubota of Chattanooga be a good dealer to have them work on my two machines? Everything else works great on this 1,100...

I have two 1140 CPX's that have great 1100hr diesel engines, and everything works with metal tops and doors, but the transmissions don't work. One of them has been to two of three dealers and the other one has been to 2 of 3 local dealers. None of these three dealers can tell me what is wrong...

Yep, hence the pain in the butt when trying to get it out. The one dealer's mechanic told me it takes 4 days to get it out???? I think that is crazy, 32 hours to get a little machine's tranny out, I don't think so. That said, are their any links to threads or info of guys that have done this...

Ok, it's in the transmission or hydrostat.....the shifter work on both. Also the rear axle splines that go into the hub splines are good. I will take the covers off of the transmissions next.

I will certainly go check that now and report back. Its not the issue on the one, but the other one, it could be, you can put it into any gear and it doesn't move at all.....the shifter moves around pretty easy though. Thanks

I agree with your advice and have both of the machines in my possession now, to rebuild myself, unless someone here can recommend a good dealer or tech that would want the job. The local 3 dealers here, I have almost no trust in their abilities to do the job based on what they have said about...

Yes, you are right, but I sorta would like to keep one, because I actually need it on the farm.

Just as a side note.....is there anyone in the Kentucky or surrounding states that would make a good deal on fixing these two transmissions? I can haul them to someone if they are knowledgeable and experienced and want to do the jobs. PM me if interested. Thanks, Sam

Yes, I read the Fork threads and I understand the process, and the dealer understands it also. They told me that the one fork moves just fine, but the other fork moves, but it must be pried very hard to move it and once moving, it doesn't want to move freely, like it is bent or something. That...

It is a 2014 1140 CPX .... Its at the dealer now. They said the forks are not broken, but that when they "took the cover off" to inspect the forks, one fork shifted okay and the other one would barely move. They are telling me that they need to remove the transmission from the machine and go...

So I bought two 2014 RTV 1140 from a company they each had 1,100 hours. One simply will not go into any gear, but the engine runs great and so does the hydraulic dump bed. So I need to get that transmission fixed.....I have no idea what the problem could be.....the shifter is shifting/moving...
