Have you looked at the JD 825i. It's something between the 'bota (all work) and pioneer (almost all play). I made the swith from an rtv 900 to 825i and it was right choice for me. JD has clearance and suspension geometry to get over and through stuff the rtv just couldn't handle, it...
Well, I watched the RTV roll out of the driveway on the new owner's trailer yesterday afternoon. A bit sad to see her go but seems like she'll be going to a good home with plenty of orange-colored companions.
Now for the crazy part. I put my 2006 rtv900 (with just 80 hours) up on craigslist for...
Doc, my machine is 200 miles away at the moment so can't post any pictures. Ive got on craigslist with a 21550 zip code (no pics yet).sorry I don't know how to send you a link to the cl add but I'm all thumbs.
Inam going to try to get out to the property this weekend but there's a mess of sow...
Traction/clearance issues
Doc and Dome
Here's my assessment of the rough terrain issuses I'm having with my '06 rtv 900. Beyond the sheer weight of the vehicle, the biggest challenge is lack of independent wheel travel and low clearance. The vehicle sits quite low and is easy to high center...
Howdy y'all I am thinking of selling my rtv900 and am wondering if anyone has used tractor house to buy or sell equipment. Just curious if it reputable and gets decent web traffic.
As for selling the "great pumpkin" I've come to the sad conclusion that while it is a beast of a workhorse, it...
I agree with the drain, refill, pray and crank her over advice. Mostly whatever's done is done. It's possible that when you overfilled the oil some of it blew by and into the cylinder and what you experienced was 'runaway diesel' and this is why it wouldn't shut off despite turning off the...
If it's antifreeze in there you'll know right away--the oil will be very milky colored, not black. If that's the issue you have a head, or if you are lucky, a head gasket problem.
Good luck!
Hi all,
Lookin for some advice from the rtv brain trust.
I noticed my rtv starting to buck a bit at high speed and checked the tire pressure. Every valve stem leaked, in fact every valve stem could be turned by hand and I could have deflated them by simply pushing against them. It's strange...
Welcome mike
I have an '06 900 as well. The original fuel cap for the 06s is defective--the threads are not long enough. Kubota made a replacement cap that solves the problem. Kubota sells them for $10. That will put an end to the leak.
Best,
Ben (aka treehouse)
No idea. But the owners manual for my '06 puts max capacity for the bed at 1,000 lbs.
I'd guess true limit is closer to 1,200 and they undrrate it by 200# tokeep their corporate lawyers happy
Just my 2 cents but....
Why not spend the money for the turbo (and the value of keeping your kubota warranty) on a rhino or some such to ride when you "feel the need for speed"
You might want to ask the dealer to do a complete fluid change on your new rig before you roll out of there. Even though it's brand new, 2012 is a long time for the fluids to sit there. The SUDT is probably ok but the brake fluid may have picked up some moisture and motor oil may also have...
If the 2013 1100 you looked at is right for you and you want the cab/sliding windows I'd go back at the dealer and offer 15.5 in the hopes of shaking hands at 16k.
If you were ok with a 900, I'd be talking to two guns about that nice looking rig his friend is selling.
As for the independent...
I'm with two guns. If the dealer is going to let you out with no stirngs, bring 'er back and get your old machine. It'll do 3 things, 1) give you peace of mind, 2) get that dealer to light a fire over at kubota to fix the problem on all the machines (dealers will stop accepting shipment of units...
