I actually was originally going to use a 55 gal. drum laying horizontally but scooped up the tank for free so couldn't resist using it. I had concerns about it tipping but so far has been stable but then again I don't have any hills. Have added the power outlet on the new Cub Cadet GT2100...

Wow - that yanmar looks to be in really good shape. You're going to wonder how you got along without it. Congrats!!! Don't forget to post up some pictures of projects and good luck. I've got a Yanmar 1610D and it really has been handy. Eventually I need to get a ROPS on mine also.

Already do!!! Spent years diggin up specs on these Yanmars and drooling over them. My only regret is that with all the other work I've got to do at the house I haven't had more time to play err..... work with it. BUT it sure has done some good work so far and the wife has even been impressed...

Thanks Mark for the congrats and the advice before I bought it. You know I have been hanging around these forums for years and digging out info on the gray market Yanmars. I always thought they were a great buy but with the way I've seen the parts support grow for these over the years I didn't...

Just got this last memorial day. Came with FEL, 4' box blade, PHD, middle buster and RSB 1401 tiller. After I had about 10 hours on her I noticed coolant blowing out of coolant reservoir and it was blowing bubbles into tank. Talked to dealer and he sent me parts for head gasket swap. No problems...

California - You lucky dog you! Two Yanmars - took me 15 years to talk the CFO into getting one. I did finally justify it with all the dirt work that had to be done after the construction at my house. The price to hire someone to do the work would have been more than half the cost of the tractor...

Been lurking a while. See a lot of familiar names. Found the site through a google search while researching before buying "new" used tractor. Got my Yanmar 1610D delivered on memorial day this year. Glad to see another friendly place to read up on and get advice on tractors.
