    cold starting issue

I think that the solenoid needs to be replaced. Since no one on the forum has ever complained about my situation, I have to guess that the vast majority of the solenoids operate correctly.

    cold starting issue

I went out to start the Kubota yesterday and double glow plugged it. Would not start. This morning went back out to start it and again hit it with 2 shots of glow plugs, would not start. I got a heat gun out and directed it toward the fuel shutoff solenoid for about 20 seconds and bingo, it...

    cold starting issue

Sorry for the delay in responding to your replies, it has been so cold here that I would not even consider taking the Kubota for a ride. (Below zero) I am going out today to try it out and will report back. It will be a little warmer today than the past 3-4 days.

    cold starting issue

Yes it is a diesel. The glow plugs seem to work fine up to the point of the ambient temperature reaching that 15 degree mark. Is it possible that the glow plug mechanism doesn't work because of a low temperature?

    cold starting issue

I have had my 2008 rtv900 since 2011 and it has been flawless------except for very cold weather starting. When the temperature hits about 15 degrees or below, the engine will crank over just fine but will not start. This has been happening since I bought the vehicle and just showed it ugly head...

    RTV Windshield

Bordercollie, I used the window film for around 5 years. It worked great, but like you said, it was fragile. I probably replaced it once or twice a year. The new windshield is mounted on the horizontal pvc pipes that mounted the window film. Tom

    RTV Windshield

I have found a very good alternative to spending megabucks for a factory windshield. Here it is. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Clear-Vinyl-30-Gauge-Marine-Isinglass-Double-Polished-Boat-Auto-54-By-The-Yard/272809828830?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 We bought this...

    Relief Knob

Razerface is correct. There is linkage that runs from the brake pedal back to the hydraulics. When the pedal is depressed to its maximum travel the relief valve will open. One can watch it happen from the rear of the vehicle while another person depresses the brake pedal. Tom

NEW * Kubota Super UDT 2

I just did my 400 hour fluid change and used the new Super UDT2. I wanted to be as objective as possible about realizing any benefits, but I am sure that getting it into and out of gear is easier now than it was with the old fluid. My wife drove the RTV all morning today and made a comment about...

    windsheild

Try out this thread. http://www.nettractortalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12689&highlight=windshield The day that I read about this windshield, I was sold on it. Yes, I am cheap, but this contraption has cost me a total of about $7 or $8 over 2 years. If you get a rip in it, repair it with...

Is Kubota always behind the time?

Vintovka, Thank you for pointing out that your shorts get caught on the parking brake all the time. I just figured that it was somehow accidental for me. Maybe we can form a "Parking brake up my shorts" support group. It certainly is annoying. Tom

Thanks for your help. I just ordered a Service manual CD from Ebay. Fantastic!

Parts and Service manuals on CD

In my journey through old threads on this forum, I have seen several references to parts and service manuals being available on CD. None of the threads point to an actual vendor of these products. Has anyone purchased these CD's? If so, where? I am having a blast with my our new RTV, especially...

    poor mans windshield

I just bought my Rtv 900 one week ago. I found this forum the next day and have been reading old posts since then. I came across this thread and knew that this was something that I needed to do. Yesterday, I installed it and took the Kubota for a drive in 10 degree weather. It was as if I was...
