Violations will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Forum Etiquette
In addition to the above rules, NetTractorTalk.com members need to read and abide by the following:

  1. Usernames and user titles offensive in nature will not be tolerated. Offensive or questionable usernames will be deleted without warning.
  2. Deleting Posts All members have 60 minutes after hitting the submit post button in which they are allowed to edit, modify or delete the post they just made. After that initial 60 minutes the post is a permanent part of the Net Tractor Talk database. Neither posts nor pictures will be removed at the users request. We require that you THINK BEFORE YOU POST. Posting when you are angry is never a good idea; please, please resist the urge to post when you are upset. Nothing good ever comes from these types of posts.
  3. Account signatures should be no more than five lines long. Signatures exceeding 5 lines will be deleted. No member can have a link in their signature until their postcount is 25 or greater and provide a reciprocal link to Net Tractor Talk. Of the 25 posts the majority must be posts with real content, not simply LOL or I agree.
  4. The General Forums are rated NC-17 regarding language and conduct and the following topic is forbidden on these forums: Religion. Members are responsible for not participating in discussions of this nature, nor starting threads of this nature. For those that wish to partake in more adult conversations, we have provided a forum entitled 'Back Room' that is Rated R. You must join via your user CP to view it. Religious topics are not allowed in here either. If you want to discuss anything religious join Forums Forums (www.forumsforums.com/3_9/) where this type of discussion is allowed.
  5. Members are responsible for their personal etiquette and behavior on the board. If you see a post you believe is in violation of the rules it is your responsibility to report it, not respond to it. Members who encounter content that they feel is objectionable, in violation, or inflammatory are expected to leave the thread without making any post that may also be inflammatory, in violation, or objectionable. In short, two wrongs do not make a right. Please, do us all a favor and simply click the 'Report Post' button rather than replying to an offending post.
  6. Goodbye threads Goodbye threads are threads that some members will post saying they are leaving the forums. To often goodbye threads go negative. While we will allow anyone to post a goodbye thread it will be closed as soon as anyone on the NTT staff sees it. This is intended to encourage members to PM the user if they want more info.

Members must abide by the preceding rules to continue use of the forums at NetTractorTalk.com. Members in violation of the preceding rules will be subject to account termination or suspension and/or post or thread removal or deletion, as determined by NetTractorTalk.com administrators and moderators.

About FREE SPEECH:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Net Tractor Talk has great respect for The First Amendment. However, since Net Tractor Talk is a private forum we request that all members follow all forum rules and guidelines. (the “Terms of Service”, TOS). IOW, this is NOT a Free Speech Forum. We allow civil posts that are respectful of others, but we maintain the right to remove any post that we (the staff of Net Tractor Talk) feel is inappropriate or not in good taste.

FAQ's and Tips to get you started:

Chit Chat and Off Topic Forums:
There is a 'Back Room' forum. Please note the Back Room is a Rated R forum containing some adult language, off color jokes, etc. Please consider this prior to joining. You can join by going to your user CP, look for 'group memberships' and from there select to join or un-join the back room forum.

Ignore List:
Each user is provided an Ignore list. Should you encounter a member that you are unable to get along with or correspond with in a civil manner, you are requested to add them onto your Ignore List.
We prefer to treat our members as adults, and therefore view them as responsible for doing the right thing to avoid negativity on the board and utilize their Ignore Lists, common sense and restraint in each and every post.
To access your Ignore List, again click on User CP, then click on Ignore List. Simply type in the name of the User you wish to ignore and save. Note: Mods cannot be ignored.

PM System:
The PM system is provided to enable members to communicate with one another in Private. Also, members that get into lengthy or heated debates on the forum will be asked to continue the debate in Private. PM's are not to be used to bad mouth other members or to recruit members to join some other forum.

VM's:
Visitor Messages are used to leave a simple and quick message on another persons profile. Negative messages are not allowed. Each member has the ability to delete any Visitor Message left on their profile. VM's are not appropriate mediums for conducting discussions, this is best done using PM's.

Member Profile Page:
There are many benefits to the Member Profile Page. After clicking on User CP, you will see a descending menu on the left side of the screen. These are all of the options available to you to manage your account and Profile Page. This includes: Personal Avatar for your Profile Page, Avatar to be used in your posts, signature to be used in your posts, personal photo albums, friends pages, and social groups. We suggest you take a few moments to familiarize yourself with these functions and all that they have to offer.

The NTT Moderation Team Mission Statement:

The goal of the NTT Moderation Team is to help provide for a fun, active, and enjoyable forum community. We believe in treating our members as adults, and thus sharing in the responsibility of creating the kind of forum we all can be proud to call home. Anytime you have any questions, need advice, or seek any help of any kind please feel free to PM any Moderator and they will be happy to assist you.

Here are a few rules the NTT Moderation Team follows to help you better understand how we do things here:

No Moderator acts alone. All actions are reviewed, this is to ensure fairness to all. Consistency is one of our primary objectives. If you have any questions on an action or infraction issued against you, you may PM any Moderator to discuss the matter. If need be that Moderator will pass your concerns on to the group for further review.

Moderating is not a fun job. Many times it puts you in a no win situation, but you have to make a tough call for the good of NTT. Please remember, Moderators are member first. This means they participate in the food discussions, off topic subjects, etc. Please note that no Moderator will ever moderate a post that they are involved in.

Moderators only moderate when member self regulation fails. This means the more members self regulate their actions, and avoid contributing to problems, the less the Moderating Team will have to intervene. IOW, Think before you post & never post in anger.
