I've welded up to 1/2" with it, even though it's not rated that thick.

That's the way I've always used them. Actually, don't remember ever having the acet. over 9-10.

Used to braze a lot of carbide tipped tooling, cutting plate, etc.

I always take mine off, sharpen on a bench grinder, check for balance. May touch them up with a Nicholson file. Notice I didn't say Cheapie file:wink:

My homemade wheel puller worked like a champ, until I got to the other side, that wheel broke away from the hub.

Started splitting on the backside, then..POP!:pat:

The damn thing broke fully...
