    Welders ?

At work, we had the BIG welders, Mig and Tig. At home , I use a little Miller 135 mig, 115 volt. I've welded up to 1/2" with it, even though it's not rated that thick. I'll weld something up, put it in the vise and knock the hell out of it. Haven't broke one yet. Last year, I posted some pics...

    Gas Cutting

That's the way I've always used them. Actually, don't remember ever having the acet. over 9-10. Used to braze a lot of carbide tipped tooling, cutting plate, etc.

How do you sharpen your mower blades?

I always take mine off, sharpen on a bench grinder, check for balance. May touch them up with a Nicholson file. Notice I didn't say Cheapie file:wink:

    New Wheels for Old MTD

Did your Suburban start out similar to this?: http://greensboro.craigslist.org/grd/1230450803.html I am severely impressed! My tire size is 23 by 9.5 by 12. So, your rims would be a little, (2.5") less wide, right? I am thinking about doing what you did, only not as pretty:wink:

    New Wheels for Old MTD

Thanks cl, I really need 23" or 20" diameters, though. I may have to build adapters for each 1" bore rim., to fit some kind of ag tires on it. Not having much luck finding 4 bolt rims /tires for that size.:pat:http://www.nettractortalk.com/forums/images/smilies/g1/pat.gif

    Craftsman Rear Bagger #24990

I've got one like this, except it's a triple bagger; off my old MTD. Great shape, just don't need/use it on our little farm. I'll be going over to the other house in a couple weeks, if interested, I'll get some pics. 46" cut, but may have to modify where it attaches to. Nylon netting bags...

Still can't find any rims, even if I get this hub off. Google must be broken. Came up with another contraption/puller for the hub. Somedays, my idea machine gets broke...just like Google.

    New Wheels for Old MTD

My homemade wheel puller worked like a champ, until I got to the other side, that wheel broke away from the hub. Started splitting on the backside, then..POP!:pat: The damn thing broke fully away from the hub. So now, I'm grinding axially through the hub, and it's still not budging even...

    New Wheels for Old MTD

I'm new here, so bear with me.:hide: Had a little problem getting the rear wheels off the old 1989, 18 HP, MTD. Now, I'm having trouble finding new rims. Maybe you guys will have some suggestions? Can't seem to find any with a 1" bore,1/4" keyway. So, I thought about making adapters to be...
