    HD Springs on Standard Struts?

Yes. When I added a plow to my 09 1140, I got the heavy duty springs and put them on the standard struts. The front end did go up at least an inch or two.

    CB/Amateur Radio In RTV?

I have CB's on my tractors, RTV and wife's electric golf cart. There's also a station in the house and in the shop. With cell phones, we don't use them as much as we used to, but they can be handy to use when working on a project on the property with multiple people and pieces of equipment...

Parts for Curtis plow hydraulic lift conversion

The plow was equipped with the OEM angle cylinders from Curtis... I did not add them.

Parts for Curtis plow hydraulic lift conversion

I thought I'd give a five year update. The RTV now has about 1495 hrs on it. The hydraulic setup as outlined above has worked flawlessly - no changes or repairs needed. The only fixing that has needed to be done is on the plow itself - some welds needed to be redone. Future changes might...

Slightly Off Topic - Heating Pole Barn

Yes, please check with your insurance co. I had intentions of installing a wood stove in my shop this winter (concrete floor and block walls) but my insurance broker said solid fuel burning appliances are not permitted in a non-residence on my policy and they didn't have any insurance carriers...

If Your RTV Won't Run Over 20 MPH Check This

FYI, the RTV 1140 was not introduced until 2009, so your machine is no more than 10 years old at this time.

    RTV X1140 Hand Throttle??

Remember that the 1140 is a longer machine than the 900 and 1100. It is probably a different kit only because it needs a longer cable. Your dealer would be able to give you the exact part number.

XG-850 Sidekick Now On Kubota Website

I think there would be some interest if Kubota offered their exact diesel lineup but with the option of a Kubota gasoline engine. Kubota's gas engines, from what I understand, use the same block as the diesel counterpart. This way, you could still have all of the benefits of a hydro trans...

    RTV PLows

I have the OEM Kubota plow made by Curtis that was popular on (and the only option for a while) the first generation diesel RTV's. It appears that this plow is still available with the X-series RTV's as the lowest cost option. We bought ours used in 2015 for about $700 to put on our 2009 RTV...

    New windshield ordered for RTV1140

Sorry, I've been away for the forum for a little while. Not sure exactly were you are in OH, but I saw this: https://cleveland.craigslist.org/snw/d/kubota-cab-kit-rtv-1140-v4461/6380882644.html BRAND NEW OEM Curtis (For Kubota) Metal roof, glass windshield, and door frames for RTV1140. $700...

Have you driven more than one RTV? Did you notice any differences?

Remember that the 1140 has the larger 24.5 hp D1105 engine, while the 900 has the 21.6 hp D902 engine.

New Kubota next year that runs 50mph ?

Huh. Interesting that they wouldn't use a Kubota gas engine. I've never had one, but my understanding is that they are based on the same block as their diesel counterparts and are/were very reliable.

RTV 1140 followed me home. Lucky lucky lucky

That is a really great deal! Congrats. We love ours. Definitely the most versatile machine in the RTV series.

    Help deciding!

Kubota now offers different OEM options for the current X series units. The original Curtis plow, offered on the 900/1100/1140 RTV's, is still available on the new X- series models, but there are now Kubota OEM hydraulic plow options. $$$.

    RTV1100 floor replacement

Very nice work! A couple of years ago, I pulled up my floormat and did some PM. No holes to patch, but this work has held up well. http://www.nettractortalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16568

    Thinking of upgrading

IIRC, when we were looking in 2013, a new RTV 1140 CPX worksite was $15k list. The camo model is always a few hundred more. We bought our 2009 1140 worksite with 712 hours for $9900 in January 2014 from our Kubota dealer. We added the roof, cab, and Line-x on the bumper and entire bed, and...

    Thinking of upgrading

Highly recommend the 1140. We have the original, non X series version that we bought used. The new X1140 looks to have some nice improvements (redesigned ROPS and better seats). Our 1140 goes everywhere our old Mule 2510 went, which was the same size as an RTV900. There is a nice Curtis hard...

    RTVX-1120 Versus 1140

Get the 1140. Its versatility is great. We love ours, and the new X1140 looks to be even better. IF not worn out, keep your ATV, having two machines is handy and they are each good at different things.

    # of hours

From time to time, I like to see what is out there and how many hours are on the units for sale. Just came across this 2010 RTV900 with 7800+ hrs! Holy cow! http://www.auctiontime.com/OnlineAuctions/Details.aspx?ohid=17095323&lp=TH I think that's that highest I've seen. The unit doesn't...
