The spark arrester on my RTV900‘s muffler has finally “rotted out.” A Kubota OEM muffler is absurdly expensive … I’m looking for a solution that is reasonably priced, effective, and not absurdly difficult. What suggestions might you have?

I'm pretty fanatical about keeping my cars, mower, and RTV clean, but I've never waxed my RTV900. Gotta tip my hat to you, Mate. I waxed both cars earlier this week. They sure look good.

Temp gauge on my RTV900 always runs close to the Hot side, but never crosses into the red zone. It always has done that. Even under heavy work conditions, it never gets to the red zone. But it sure gets my attention.

tfdr1 I'm sorry to hear of your dog's misfortune. Been there ... done that. You truly have my sympathies. As for the RTV recall: local RTV dealer informed me this morning that it covers certain models designated as X machines. Mine is just a plain vanilla RTV900, so no recall for my machine...

What's that orange pointy thing on the front of your machine? Congratulations on your new RTV. I gotta warn you: little grandchildren love these things. All of mine got their first driving experiences on my RTV900. Best of luck with your machine.

For many years I have used Novus plastic cleaner products. I'm attaching a link to Novus's website. You can get the stuff at motorcycle stores, Honda power product stores, and Amazon.com, of course. Novus products are commercial versions of the stuff we used in the Navy to clean aircraft...

OEM. I think all oil filters are reasonably up to their task, but ... you just never know. When I use a Kubota filter, I'm getting piece of mind ... with any other brand filter, I'd be wondering ....

Done, and done. Local muffler shop welded the exhaust pipe to the muffler canister. The welder insisted on not charging anything for the job, but I successfully stuffed a $20 bill in his pocket. I think we're good to go here. Again, thanks for your responses. Messicks: eat your heart out.

I mounted a Battery Tender Jr. pigtail set to the batteries on my Harley, my RTV900, and my ZD21 mower. The units cost about $25/ea on Amazon Prime. When the machines aren't in use, I plug in the battery tenders. Seems to preserve battery life. I recommend them.
