Any more updates on this? I have the x1100c model. How would I go about turning it up a little? I don't want to be rolling coal and pushing the engine to the max, but a little extra HP would be nice. I would imagine the engines are slightly tuned down from factory for a safety factor.

I know I can go get a regular rack like that and use my front hitch receiver or do like VA1100 and mount it not using the hitch but either way it lengthens the rtv quite a bit. I'd rather not have to make the whole machine longer if I can help it, especially if I'm in the woods on trails.

Here are some pics of the mounts I made. I think it was 1/4" steel plate that was scrap at work and cut it into a "L" shape and then bent it down a little to get the light bar lower. A guy at work powder coated it for me. Worked really well and looks very nice.

There is no bracket needed. When you buy an aftermarket stereo there will be a metal cage/bracket that you slide off, insert into the radio slot on the RTV and then bend a bunch of little tabs to hold it in place. Then slide the radio in and you are good to go.
