    Back to the cold weather part of this thread, Our 2018 x1100c gelled up last week at 6 below. With winterized fuel ( cut with kerosene 60/40, and treated with PS ). This was after it had been running for about 3 hours. It seems to me the tiny little fuel filter is in a very vulnerable place...

    Yessir, Dave. I grabbed the one from Tractor Supply. It is actually plug and play. Plugged it in (plug fits ) and it works. I did not bother to switch the wires, so in is out and out is in. bUT WORKS FINE.

    Thanx Aurthuritiss, , I am Presently using Kubota 15w-40. Just wondering if a synthetic would be better. And at what viscosity. I have used Mobil Delvac 15w-40 in my farm tractors for Years and aaaaaaaaaayears, but it seems a number of folks are strong advocates of synthetics now...

    rear wheel bearing torque

    So tightening the castle nut does not tighten the bearing, only stretches the threads until a cotter pin hole lines up. Which to me would mean that the torque is not too important unless you strip the threads.

    No problem. I think I read about the update somewhere on a snow grooming forum. The bearings seem to feel fine, so I am leaving them as they are.
