The ones I am familiar with are built by Bradco (Paladin Construction Group) and are available as either a hydro tractor or a skidsteer attachment. Their website is here: http://paladinconstructiongroup.com/...ory.aspx?ID=79. The chain is maecanically driven by the tractor's PTO; hydraulics are used to raise and lower the boom in relation to the trencher main body. John Deere also offers one under the Frontier brand, which looks similar. A web search also turned up the Bainter Boom Trencher (http://www.bainterconstruction.com/index-4.php) and the Bolton PTO trencher (http://www.boltonpowerequip.com/ptotrencher.html). I would think a skidsteer trencher would require too much hydraulic flow, and would be capable of torquing the loader.
