Unstyled B- Brake Grease

How does one get so much grease (actually hardened up) inside this brake assembly.
Is there a seal, I can find one, or did they just pump too much in thru the zerc fitting.
thanks

Wow, that is a lot of grease.
I know I've pumped on the zerk fittings a lot some times but have never seen the end result so I don't know the answer.

What is the oil level like in the transmission? I suspect oil level may be too high and causing leakage into the brakes. There is no actual seal in the brake shaft. There should be a spiral groove in the housing to help keep the oil out of the brakes. There should be an oring in the pedal shaft to keep grease out from the grease gun. If that oring is worn out and someone severely overgreased it, you could possibly see the amount of grease you have.

Finally got the entire thing cleaned, the brake pedal moving again, totally dissassembled and did not see an o-ring. I wil look at my parts list.
I too thought just over greased.

Thanks for the input...
