hydraulic hook-up?

Hello. I recently received a hydraulic pruner for my rtv 900. When I hook it up to the tilt couplers, The pruners will open and close with the bed tilt controls but the lever on the pruner doesnt do anything. I've tried switching the hoses, and putting the control lever in"flow" position, but nothing happens. Am I missing something or does something need repair/adjustment? thanks. Also I haven't been able to locate any fuses, as the lights aren't working... The serial number is 55147 if that helps.
