serial number location bx23

Where would I look for the serial number on a 2004 bx23 please?

You BX23 owners probably think I am pretty dumb. This morning I bought a 2004 model and I wanted to make sure the serial number got on the bill of sale and I didn't know where I should look for it. As you owners probably know it is written in at least two obvious places. On the side of the tractor and on the loader. I didn't know it would be that obvious and I didn't want to spend a lot of time trying to find it. All worked out well and now I have to figure out how to run and take care of it. Owned a Case 530 and 580 back in the 70s but haven't run a backhoe since.

Thank you. I've already learned alot. (Like where I can order an operator's manual.) I am enjoying gleaning the accumulated wisdom from the site and I am sure once I get educated enough to not sound too dumb I will have many questions.
