Bent rims

Hi,

I continue to bend the lip of my rims just enough so they no longer hold air. This has now happened three times in a year. I am running the Kubota RTVin areas that have been timbered, so there are lots of obstructions but I have no choice of terrain. Would I be better off running at higher air pressure than normal or lower pressure, or does it make a difference? Thanks.

Guest from PA,

Have you put slime in the tires? That may take care of the leaks.

I would probably run the air up to 15-20 psi.

If you mangle the tires/rims so badly, let me know if you're interested in new ones. I have a set of OEM tires/rims with the HDWS tires that I may be interested in parting with. They were only used for a short period before I changed to aftermarket. I live in W. PA (about 40 miles N of Pittsburgh).

you could also foam fill the tires. They won't ride as well, but you'd never have issues with flats.
