My 2010 MF2615 would disengage from 4wd by itself and make a horrible noise when doing so. Only way to get it to re engage would be to engage pto and then engage 4WD. Massey Dealer rep said they had seen this before and would need to drill and set a set screw in the 4wd gear to keep it in place. Unfortunately while engaging and disengaging with the gear out of place it damaged the gears for the 4wd. I am under the impression that this is a design issue with this model tractor and feel that I did nothing wrong and did not cause this to happen. I do not believe this is normal wear and tear nor could I have prevented this from happening. My tractor has been in the shop for a combined total of 56 days for this issue and it is still not repaired. Massey claims parts will be here this Friday. Anyone else experienced this issue or know of anyone with this issue. I would like to know what their experience was.
