Front axle seep

Hi fellow members,

I own a BX-22330. The front axle is seeping ( just wet spots, not puddles ) on the rear side of the pivot pin. I have removed the pin , o,rings , plastic o,ring backup. They all looked good so reinstalled and took all play out of pin by adjusting the nut, also replaced the hydro fluid with 80-90 gear oil. Still seeps.

Has anyone had to replace o,rings with new? Has anyone had this problem?

Thanks Larry aka 1kubota

I had this problem on my bx23 tractor backhoe. Mine did the same thing. I replaced the front pin and bushings and seals fixed the problem. They should have used a needle bearing cage and this would not happen. The pin did not look bad but the bushings were wore. They are a split bushing and I had to find the split and chisel the old bushings out. Should have used my air chisel on them. Was afraid to use air chisel as didn't want to hurt the case. But after I had the first one out I could see the seals would stop that. To much clearance between pin and bushing wear is the real problem.
