Default RTV 900 tires and speed

Hello.

How high tires fits kubota RTV 900?

Where locate speedometer sensor?

I have RTV 900 with VW 1.9D engine and like to use higher tires and get more topspeed...

Welcome to the forum!

Can you elaborate on the engine? A VW 1.9? How did that happen?

More top speed is pretty hard on the RTV. You can throw bigger tires at it, tune the engine, add a turbo... but the tranny is still going to limit you to right around 25 MPH.

How fast did you want to go?

Don't apologize for your English. Where are you from?

Very cool project. Haven't seen that before.

Transmissions aren't my strong suit. How do you have that geared with that automatic transmission? I'd think that by using automotive parts you could get higher speeds.

By the way, due to suspension, these RTV's don't handle very good at high speeds. Do you still have the RTV's power steering?

Thanks! I am from Finland.

I use kubota steering rack, but VW T4 powersteeringpump.

40 mph is enough to me. Then you can drive 25mph less low rpmīs. My plan is use higher tires.

My kubota is not more hydro-drive. Itīs like normal automat VW Jetta 1.9D, but with extra rear-end.

Just get hydraulics working...

Unless you're in rough terrain where 26" is about the limit, you can get about 27" tires. Anything taller and you'll most likely encounter rubbing issues, especially in the front when turning.

Very interesting setup you have there.

I find it. It was left side near bottom. Just try it to close waterpump bolt when engine was runing... speedometer get 5km/h

New place for sensor is rear drive shaft. I don't have even a clue how many "holes" i need to get right speed, but first i try old ABS-ring.
Maybe i can use http://www.amazon.com/Speedohealer-Calibrator-V4-0...http://www.amazon.com/Speedohealer-Calibrator-V4-0...
