Stuck clutch on 620

I fired up my 620 today for the first time in over a year. The clutch is engaged and will not release. Do I just take it apart and clean the discs if necessary. The hand lever moves but no response. Anything I should watch for? Thanks

You need to play with the stuff more than once a year

If you are referring to this model JD620...You will have to split the tractor...:(

Before you split it,try putting it in the fastest gear and have someone tow it while you control it w/ the switch off and the clutch disengaged. When it's going approx. 3-4 mph step on both brakes hard to see if engine inertia will break it loose.
OH,and next time park it w/ the clutch disengaged.
