Had a great time last Saturday riding the trails and plowing through the mud. 60 miles of trails and back roads. Some of the mud holes were 3 ft deep and every ATV or UTV that tried did not make it through. I saw no need to even try so I took the easy way around two of those mud holes.

This was a benefit for a scholarship fund for a lucky kid at Richie County High School in Richie county WV. The turnout was fantastic. Over 100 vehicles with a 60/40 split between UTV side by sides and ATV's. Many of the UTV and ATV were covered from top to bottom with mud. We might have been the cleanest vehicle out there since I refused to bury my new Honda in the mud. I took a little ribbing but could care less about that. :yum:

A Can-Am that was riding with us started to overheat after the big mud hole. Guessing mud was jammed into his radiator. We passed a knee deep stream and he drove into the stream at high speed (see pic below). He turned around and came back across and the repeated 3 or 4 times. That seemed to clean out a big part of the mud. I learned little tidbits like that from the experienced riders.

Here are a few pics of the fun and a snapping turtle that we crossed paths with. :D.

Most of the machines in my group had this hook from Harbor Freight. Perfect for towing a fellow SxS out of the mud hole. And it just runs 11 bucks. I picked up one today.
These could come in handy for our RTV's and our tractors too.
