Fare Price...

Hi folks,

Looking a Kubota to replace the ol' FORD 8n. Have a line on a used L3830. My question is, what's a fair price for one? It specs as follows:

Kubota L3830
38 Horsepower
4x4
w/Front end loader, quick attachment bucket
361 Hours
Hydrostatic Transmission
New Condition

I'd have to travel a bit to go see it in person. Should I take a look?

Thanks - BOB

I shopped for two years looking for a nearly new tractor to replace my 8N. I never found one that was not priced so close to new that it was worth my while it instead of a new one. For the best price comparison check what a new one would run you. These do not depreciate like a car, so you will not be priced a whole lot less than new ...but hopefully enough.

Definitely worth taking a drive to go see IMHO.

Apparently they dont make the 3830 anymore. I compared it to a new 3940 comparably equipped on the Kubota website. This is a 2007, low hours model and its about 50% MSR of the new 3940. The owner says he wants to get a bigger HP unit for his place, that's why he's selling...I might be making a trip this weekend...
