How to remove grip from BX2350 throttle lever

My throttle lever broke at the junction where the threads start; I ordered a new one, but it came without a rubber handle grip.

The question is: how do I remove the rubber grip from the old handle and put it on the new handle, without ruining the either the grip or the new handle?

Welcome to our tractor forum. :tiphat:

Hmm not sure but you might try allowing lighter fluid to breakdown the glue holding the rubber piece on, then twist it easily with pliers or vice grips to work it loose. Note: I have not tried this, just thinking of what might be a solution.

Got it off!

Called the dealer this am; he said to work a screw driver between the handle and the bar... that worked, it's off now! Said to use silicone to "glue" it back on...

Thanks for the responses... Spokane Dude

Glad you got it off.

Just throwing this out for the future.

If you can't get it off or destroy it in the process, look at a product like PlastiDip.

You just dip your item in the product and it makes you a new one.

It's not expensive and available at places like Home Depot.
