spark arrestor removal help speed or not?

Ok on the new 1100s does it improve speed to remove the arrestor or not? I have heard both

The new 1100 have a built in spark arrestor no way to remove it without cutting up the muffler or replacing it with a different one. On the older 1100 you defiantly lose power when it gets plugged up.

I recently purchased a 2014 X1100C and was doing some work in the back of it and noticed the maintenance sticker about servicing the spark arrestor. I took a picture of it to post, so hopefully it will show up. The only thing that is different about this is that they recommend tapping on the side of the muffler with a rubber mallet while revving the engine. [/URL][/IMG]
