We got our new tires in and installed today. STI Chicane 26x10x12. I’m hoping for a little more stability from these tires. Thank you Robin from Allterrainonline.com

Those are good looking tires. Do you remember the weight rating on them?

From an email with Colt Brinkerhoff at STI:

The 26x10R12 Chicane RX at 50 MPH has a 909 pound load cap, not 783 like I told you before. At 25 MPH it has 1288 pounds and at 10 MPH it has 1505 pounds.

The other thing to keep in mind is assuming your stock tire is a standard bias ply tire, the Chicane is an 8 ply rated vs the stock 6 ply rated. The Chicane is also a radial construction as well so you will get the additional belt plies under the tread for improved puncture resistance, the radial carcass will be "softer", and leave less footprint.
