deep cycle batteries are not made to stand the vibration automotive batteries are. Chances are you will not have a problem☺

That is NOT ACCURATE. "Deep Cycle" refers to the ability/design of a battery to allow deep discharges without permanent damage to the battery. It does not describe the ability of the battery to withstand rough useage.

Rough-use batteries come in both Deep Cycle and Reg. Cycle (usually referred to as "high capacity" or high "CCA" (Cold Cranking Amp). ANY of which can be constructed to withstand rough useage or not.

Battery construction basics are lead/tin plates submerged in electrolyte (commonly sulfuric acid) parallel to each other in order to present the largest surface area possible to the exchange of electrons through the electrolyte.

High capacity batteries have larger surface areas...which usually mean thinner plates in order to present larger surface areas to the electrolyte AND to both conserve material as well as to keep weight down. If those batteries are deeply discharged the resulting heat will warp the plates and if they warp sufficiently to bend and touch each other a short will occur and that cell will be dead. Now that battery is damaged permanently.

Deep Cycle batteries have thicker plates which are not as susceptible to warping and can withstand deeper discharges without damage and can recover more frequent discharges.

ROUGH USEAGE batteries can come in either flavor. They are commonly identified as "marine", "aviation", or some similar or plainly labeled for "rough or off-road" use. Those batteries have permeable membranes which separate the plates to prevent them from warping yet still allow the exchange of electrolyte and electrons, and they have internal structures to more-securely affix the components so that vibration, rough roads, pounding-waves do not physically damage the battery.

Hope this helps.

i have been using Exide blue top gell and wrapped fiber battery for a couple of years. i have had real good luck with them and they perform as a deep cycle also. they are expensive.
