Hi all
I must first of all say that I am a new tractor buyer and have no experience in this area. But basically we have bought some land and I need a tractor and am fairly knowledgeable (I think) about what I need to maintain the place we have bought. I am in Australia (north coast NSW) and I am basically tossing up between a Kubota L4400 and the Daedong DS5410. From what I gather pretty similar machines except for the price. I had been pretty much ready to go with the Kubota until I spoke with a dealer about the Daedong. Bottom line is that there is a $7000 price difference with the Daedong providing more accessories such as slashing deck, blade a couple of other things. I have read mostly good things about the Daedong/Kioti brand and am thinking of the $7000 I can have in my pocket.
I suppose that my question is that for the money, would I be as satisfied with the Daedong as the Kubota....and reading back on this I realise that this is so vague as to be stupid. What I want is trouble free motoring as far as I can manage it. I am also prepared to pay for it so the Kubota is something I would be prepared to pay for as I think that their reputation speaks for itself. Its just that the Daedong has been presented as a possibility at the eleventh hour for me and I am trying to get a feel for just how good these machines are.
The machine will need to do slashing, fencing, some ploughing and general stuff that crops up. It is a block with some hills that require the 4W drive feature.
If this seems like a stupid post I apologise but I figure that you guys are best placed as users to give me an idea of the value of these tractors.
Thanks for reading and for those who may take the time to reply.
