I have a 4239-D John Deere diesel im putting together, but cant seem to find any of the torque specs for the Timing idler gears, or the oil pump drive gear. Does anybody know them, or know a place online that has it? any help is appreciated
Darn! I intended to check the manual at work today and I forgot. The upper idler gear has the longer bolt and gets torqued to around 95 ft lbs. The lower one has the shorter bolt but larger diameter. It gets torqued to about 105 ft lbs. The oil pump gear gets torqued to 55 ft lbs and the nut should be staked after it is torqued.
