Gone But Not Forgotten
This is of a Ford 9700. I will try and get my 7710 picture back up soon. Postimage deleted it and it seems it is lost. But is still on my camera so I can get it back.

I am not sure of this. This tractor was in a parade some time ago and I questioned the straight stacks. I was told this was a Factory Kit. But I can't find it on the web anyplace. Has anyone ever seen one like this or know of this kit?? I sure wished my dad was around yet. Being a Ford Tractor mechanic for 25 years he would know.

That does not at all look "stock" to me.

In that configuration:
A) All exhaust blows in the operators face. For regular/farm use, that would have royally sucked.
B) It's showing a 6-cylinder which wasn't stock back then. As I recall there was a 6-cyl conversion available but don't think it was offered by Ford. Do a google search for "Ford 8n 6 cylinder conversion kit" or "Ford 8n funk conversion". The latter is what I think they called it.

I would have to agree on option B. Thanks much Bczoom :thumb:

Just stumbled onto this thread. Here's my contribution. It's an '84 model that I bought 3 years ago. Diesel, 8x4. I had to rebuild the front axle swivel and put in new king pins. New clutch. New rear tires. Rebuilt Injector pump. Rebuilt 3pt lift cylinder. I use this tractor a lot, putting 400hrs a year on it. Takes a lot of small task pressure off the bigger tractor.

Very nice. I bet it is great as a utility tractor. Thanks for posting the pictures.

This little sweetheart pushes 535 Horespowe. Has some brothers pushing more

I believe this tractor was made in the Steiger Division
