Has anyone ever found a cheaper head light bulb for the RTV 900 2004 to 2008 i believe in wither a led bulb or a cheaper one at an auto parts store?Im not in the mood to pay 15 bucks for a damn bulb..Thanks for any help and hell all my friends

I don't know about your machine in particular but LED bulbs have lots of pros and cons. Big con is directionality. A well designed headlight housing is designed for a specific bulb and filament direction. if the LED bulb is not designed that way you can actually loose luminence.

So these bulbs are pretty popular and are now surpasing HID lights.

Another downside of these types of bulbs is they run so hot they use cooling fans. Not sure what environment your machine is but this could be an issue. Also it is hard to find a 2800K color temp, most of these are the stupid bright blue.

Upside is that, at least in my car, they work and they last forever with a lot of potholes in our town.

Hi Mark :) ? . ;) I use this standard bulb #894 less than $8 each , I'm pretty sure that number is right, but will double check tomorrow and report back if not. https://www.amazon.com/Philips-894-...=UTF8&qid=1517799812&sr=1-4&keywords=bulb+894 I think they are even cheaper at a competitive auto parts store. Leds would be nice but too pricey for now. I hope you are doing ok considering this weather . Your friend, collie

found these LEDs if they are correct in the cross reference chart for $12 for 2 bulbs but would need to confirm before ordering . https://www.amazon.com/HOTSYSTEM-60...rd_wg=v8mGA&psc=1&refRID=RHDG4GKWPEVDEAE7399X

Yea, be careful with heat. It's been years but I recall member(s) putting in some sort of HID bulb and it melted the housing.

I'm not a people person neither Mark. a mazon is where I do 90 % of my buying for the same reason as you. I'm a prime member and I can tell ya, they lose money on me. I also have found great buys with those "warehouse" deals there. Maybe 3 % of the things had ever been opened- just lightly damaged boxes mostly. . Ask your doc if you can take the osteo bi flex stuff. It helped my hands but took a month to start working. collie

Mark, good to see you on the Forum again. I'm not on here much but isn't old age great. Better living through chemistry as they say. Turns out that if you look more closely, that golden color that's referred to as you approach the "golden years" is really rust colored. Lol Hang in there.
