Anyone got any remedies for the excessively noisy cab. Way too noisy, especially with the doors ON? Cant hear radio without pushing the volume really high.

I don't have a cab on mine but have had some rattles that were fixed by just tightening some loose bolts.

Is the noise you're encountering due to rattles or just the noise of the diesel?

If the engine is really noisy, you canuse fuel additives to raise the Cetane and quiet down the combustion noise.

Can you elaborate? What kind of additive? Does it reduce combustion? If so, how does that effect performance?

Two things that I have done and recommended to others to quite the noise level!

1. put a stiffner on the rear screen or reposition!

2. add a bedliner and put a heavy rubber mat on top! All vibration noise ceased!

Describe in more detail and I will respond in kind!

A max dose of almost any fuel treatment that says it will boost cetane should do the job. I like 85 Plus because of its synthetic formulation, but other products will work too.

It takes that high pitched crackle/rattle out of the combustion cycle, provides more power, reduces the smoke to nearly zero and fires right up in cold weather.
